Raising the Roof Auction for St. Mary's Church, Baconsthorpe
A week's stay at The Mill, large self-catering holiday house near Biggar in the Scottish Borders.
Set in the soft, rolling hills of the Scottish Borders 30 miles south of Edinburgh, (and 50 miles south of Glasgow), our converted mill is ideally placed for exploring southern Scotland. Within easy reach are lots of walks in the Southern Uplands, jaunts to Edinburgh, the Clyde Valley, Peebles with the Dawyck botanical garden. Biggar, a town with an excellent museum and convenient shops, is 2 miles away. It was a finalist for the Grand Designs House of the Year in 2013 and was featured in Elle Decoration Country in Autumn Winter 2016.
The mill is a recently converted and comfortable family holiday home which the family does not rent out. It sleeps 6 adults and up to 4 children comfortable in twin beds and bunks. There are wood burning stoves, a well-equipped kitchen (including dishwasher), and a washing machine and tumble dryer. Lots of books, board games, a DVD player but no television or mobile phone reception! (There is 4G reception on the drive just above the house).
We are offering a week’s stay outside school holidays and would be grateful if you could bring your own linen and towels.
